The Real Monster – The Used Mazda RX-8

It was the year 2001 when Mazda announced a brand new model with some outstanding capabilities. However, another two years had to pass until it was finally approved for production. Now anyone can have the result of many hours of design, research and development - a great car for a reasonably price, which is the used Mazda RX-8. Why it is so special? Well, it is a sports car. And by saying “sports” I mean it is a front, mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, four seats, and four door coupe. And not only that – it has much more in its locker. For example; the used Mazda RX-8 is a rather light weight construction, because the materials used to build the car are extremely light. That means lower fuel consumption and better acceleration. A used Mazda RX-8 is also a very safe car, both for the driver and passengers. Remember, it is a full four seated sports car! The engine of the used Mazda RX-8 is also worth mentioning, mainly because it is only 1.3 litres. But despite this low capacity, it can produce from 197 to 247 horsepower! That’s really something! That much power generated by such a “little” engine would be impossible for a regular engine. But the engine in the used Mazda RX-8 is not so “normal”. It is a Wankel engine, invented by German engineer Felix Wankel about fifty years ago!
